It&#8217;s stronger and the effects last for much longer, so you&#8217;ll need a ride to and from the office.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>IV Sedation<\/strong>: For this one, it\u2019s administered into your bloodstream, and it gives you the deepest state of relaxation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Will I Be Put to Sleep with Dental Sedation?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All the types of dental sedation don&#8217;t technically put you to sleep. They keep you conscious, so you will still be aware of your surroundings. However, you may feel calm enough that you doze off on your own. Oftentimes, IV sedation is called &#8220;sleep dentistry&#8221; because it can make you feel so at ease that you take a quick siesta and don&#8217;t remember much of the procedure itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some oral surgeon practices do offer general anesthesia.
