Improving Patient Safety: An Analysis of Dental Risks and Liabilities<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We had our last continued education lecture of 2017 last month and it was great! We had the pleasure of working with Fortress Insurance Company, who was able to provide our speaker of the evening, Dr. Ragan. It was a full house and we thank everyone that was able to attend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Dr. Michael R. Ragan is an attorney in a Miami, Florida law firm with 25 years of experience as a defense trial attorney. He received a B.A. from Syracuse University, a D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, a J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center, and an L.L.M. in Health Law from Loyola University College of Law. He has held academic appointments at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine, the University of Florida College of Dentistry, and the Georgetown University School of Dentistry. Dr. Ragan is presently Adjunct Professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the Nova Southeastern College of Dental Medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dr. Ragan practiced clinical dentistry for fifteen years and supervised healthcare professional liability claims for seven years within the insurance industry. Dr. Ragan was on the Board of Directors of Fortress Insurance Company as well as the Chairman of their Claims Committee and currently serves as Medico-legal Consultant for Fortress. Dr. Ragan is a Fellow of the American College of Dentists, the International College of Dentists, and the American College of Legal Medicine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A few of our guests were actually previous students of Dr. Ragan\u2019s from Georgetown University, small world! Once again, we\u2019d like to thank everyone that was able to attend and make this such a successful event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
